PostFinance bank statement: convert the PDF to Excel or camt.053

What PostFinance exports itself

  • camt.053 (must be ordered)
  • camt.054
  • PDF in e-finance

Where to find it

PDF statements can be downloaded in e-finance. camt.053 appears under Documents → Account statements, but only once the format has been ordered via the “electronic account documents” form from customer service (per a third-party guide).

When you still have to convert the PDF

Everything before camt.053 was ordered, and every statement you receive from clients or third parties as a PDF.

  • Statements you receive from clients, mandates or counterparties as PDFs
  • Accounts that have since been closed
  • Periods before electronic export was activated
  • Accounting software that requires camt.053 or MT940 when the bank only delivers CSV or PDF

How we convert your PostFinance statement

You upload the PDF, we extract the transactions and reconcile: opening balance + credits − debits = closing balance. You receive Excel, CSV or camt.053 and a check note within 48 hours. If it does not close, we say so and refund the statement.

Can FinVerify process PostFinance statements?+

Yes. We work without bank templates and check every PostFinance statement individually for balance reconciliation. Text PDFs and scans are fine.

Do I need FinVerify if PostFinance offers camt.053?+

No, if you run the account yourself and the period is covered: download camt.053 directly. FinVerify is for third-party statements, closed accounts and periods before camt was activated.
